Welcome to Ksatria Shakti
“We travel, some of us forever, to seek other states, other lives, other souls.”
~ Anais Nin
There are many amazing teachers that I've met, but not all of them have the means to manage the back end of running a retreat, simply because they are so busy perfecting their own practices and teaching skills.
Ksatria Shakti, was born to bring these teachers to the foreground, and give you, the students a chance to connect and build your practice with them. We are a small body, one person, really, who runs the back end of these retreats and hosts them along with the teachers so you can really feel like part of a little family while you're away.
The idea behind it is to create comprehensive yoga and wellness retreats that include practice and a whole range of other activities in beautiful locations. Each retreat is carefully planned so no two are the same, from teachers, locations, to local experience that ensure you get a complete holiday. It is a great opportunity to deepen your practice while you enjoy time in nature and explore the local culture. A lot of research is put into really knowing the locations of these retreats, from the beautiful and magical spots, to learning the local legends, and creating a programme that gives you a taste of that.
The teachers get the chance to fully immerse themselves in teaching, as the back-end work like organising tours, catering and accommodations is done for them. This also allows teachers the opportunity to socialise and take part in activities with the students so you get to know your teachers beyond their place at the front of a yoga room.
We want to bring people together, pure and simple. Doesn't matter what your background is, or how advanced your practice is, let's all sit at a dinner table together and see if we can find more similarities than differences. In future, as we grow, we'd like to add a charitable extension to these retreats where teachers get to choose a cause they are passionate about and an amount is donated to that cause.
Explore with us.
Each retreat is not just to experience a different culture, it is an examination of self, from your practice on the mat to the experiences you will encounter off the mat. We invite you to unplug from the daily grind and plug into the deeper practices of yoga, mindfulness and wandering in nature.
Most of all, we want you to have FUN!
“Travel far enough, you meet yourself.”
